Art Deco chairs selected for their sculptural lines, comfort and lasting presence. The collection centres on original Halabala armchairs from the 1930s, among the most recognisable examples of European Art Deco furniture.
Each chair is carefully restored with new upholstery and refinished frames, bringing these vintage armchairs into contemporary use while preserving their character. Available to view by appointment in the studio.

A sculptural bentwood armchair with gracefully curved lines, characteristic of Halabala’s Art Deco elegance, combined with Bauhaus functionality. The chair exemplifies modernist design, with flowing forms and balanced proportions that offer both elegance and comfort.
The chair has been carefully restored, including its bentwood frame, and professionally reupholstered in rich teal velvet. The upholstery has been completed using OEKO-TEX® certified fabric, ensuring quality and safety.
Fabric samples can be provided on request to help you confirm the finish in your own space.

An original armchair by Czech designer Jindřich Halabala, with the characteristic curved bentwood arms for which his designs are known.
Designed in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s, the chair reflects influences of both Art Deco and Bauhaus design. Generously proportioned and exceptionally comfortable, it was designed as a proper lounge chair rather than an occasional seat.
Made to order:
This chair is restored to order from an original vintage Halabala frame. The frame is carefully restored and refinished before the chair is completely reupholstered.
The photographs show one of our previously restored chairs. Your chair will be restored to the same standard and upholstered in the yellow velvet shown, unless an alternative fabric is selected.
Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for restoration.

Restored to Order
Each chair is restored using an original vintage Halabala frame, carefully refinished and completely reupholstered with new foam and support materials.
The photographs show examples of our previous restorations. Your chair will be restored to the same standard, with upholstery and wood finish selected to suit your preferences.
Upholstery & Customisation
Choose from our carefully selected range of upholstery fabrics, included in the listed price. Complimentary fabric samples are available on request, and we are happy to advise on colours and textures.
You are also welcome to supply your own upholstery fabric. Please contact us beforehand to discuss its suitability for the chair.
Wood finishes can be adjusted to lighter or darker tones.
Ordering & Payment
Each chair is individually restored to order. Before purchasing, we invite you to get in touch to discuss your preferred upholstery and wood finish.
Complimentary fabric samples are available to help you make your selection.
Once the details are agreed, a 50% deposit secures your order, with the remaining balance payable before delivery.
Restoration typically takes 3–6 weeks, with the exact timeframe agreed individually before your order is confirmed.
