The Story

MobelCo began in 2017 out of an admiration for Scandinavian mid-century design and a growing fatigue with fast, mass-produced furniture. What started as a small online vintage shop has gradually evolved into a carefully curated studio focused on mid-century and earlier seating — pieces valued for their craftsmanship, comfort and balanced architectural elegance.

Over time, a loyal international client base has developed through considered online sales and personal recommendations. Hundreds of carefully sourced pieces have found new homes across the UK and Europe, supported by consistently positive feedback from clients.

Today, the studio is run by Inga Siemionek from her home in London, where viewings can be arranged by appointment. Alongside seating, a small selection of Scandinavian studio ceramics and design objects is occasionally presented to complement the furniture and help create calm, layered interiors.

The approach remains deliberately measured — centred on thoughtful sourcing, respect for original design and the lasting pleasure of living with well-chosen furniture.

The hope is always that each piece will settle naturally into its new surroundings, becoming more valued as it is lived with over the years.
