An original armchair by Czech designer Jindřich Halabala, with the characteristic curved bentwood arms for which his designs are known.
Designed in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s, the chair reflects influences of both Art Deco and Bauhaus design. Generously proportioned and exceptionally comfortable, it was designed as a proper lounge chair rather than an occasional seat.
Made to order:
This chair is restored to order from an original vintage Halabala frame. The frame is carefully restored and refinished before the chair is completely reupholstered.
The photographs show one of our previously restored chairs. Your chair will be restored to the same standard and upholstered in the yellow velvet shown, unless an alternative fabric is selected.
Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for restoration.
Upholstery:
Shown here in a rich yellow velvet, with completely renewed upholstery, including new foam and support materials. The fabric is OEKO-TEX® certified.
The chair can also be upholstered in a fabric of your choice. Fabric samples are available on request.
Condition:
Frames are carefully selected in sound structural condition and fully refinished. Occasional, very subtle signs of age may remain, consistent with the nature of vintage pieces. New upholstery, including foam and support materials, is fitted to ensure comfort and durability.
